  The 144,000 and what makes them tick.

  i havent been to a kh since i was a teenager and was always intrigued by the 144,000 and that some supposedly resided in my congregation.. questions about them were inevitably met with ambiguous answers.

  "they just know they are" was a favourite reply when i asked how these "anointed ones" received their calling.

  has anyone known any jws who reckon they're in the 144,000 club, and what makes them think they are?.

  Most of the ones I knew, in fact all of them, were a bit "off".
  
  I think they had mental health problems. Maybe from sniffing too much window cleaner or floor scrubbing compound?

  and if satan is ruling everything now, what is jesus doing now?

  (in jw minds) it seems to me they believe the 'gates of hell' have prevailed.

  I'm with Scully on this one. All Jesus did was hang out with his peeps on Earth for 30 years before he got around to getting baptised. He came to Earth to experience what being a human was all about. I think he "spilled his seed inside of Luke", much like David did inside of Jonathan.
  
  That's why I think there is so much homophobia now. All the gay guys got all the good gigs and all the straight boys were pissed. It's been paybacks ever since.
  
  So now that he's chillin in 'da heavens, he's probably spilling his spiritual "seed" inside of angels, cherubs, and seraphims.

  i think that every one on this site goes way over the top calling jehovahs wittnesses names you spend more time trying to prove them wrong than you do prasing god.i mean is this your purpose in life.if you no more about the bible than the wittnesses then go straght a head and speak.but dont act like a spoiled brat calling people names.a lot of people on this site will belevae what they want to beleave because it suits there lifestyle lets get to the root of whats realy in your hearts

  sorry if there are those apostates here that do this, but you were often the butt of a joke and nothing taken serious.

  i personally loved the ones who wore paper bags over their head, as they were often people still afraid of getting in trouble.

  it is not like a political rally with people saying "make love, not war.

  I'm not sure if the protest is really for the JW's of for the apostate himself/herself. Perhaps it is the protesters final stand of courage to do this. To stand firmly against what the WTBS stand for. I say go for it! Is it effective? I don't know. But at least they are doing something. Just as some come to the internet....many will not. Just because what works for one individual to leave, isn't effective to another. How do we know which way is best for ALL?
  
  The JW's are a one trick pony. Door to door knocking. That's it. We have lamented why the WTBS is so stupid not to use TV and other mediums. Isn't this the same. A broad ranged, multi faceted approach to anti-JW'ism?

  Made money with a ATM machine

  in our atm machines, we can only get 20 dollar bills out of them, so today i went to get 60$ out of the atm machine and to my surprise came out a 50$ and two 20's.

  there isn't supposed to be 50$ bills in that machine.

  i guess that the one who filled it up with 20's, accidentally put a 50$ in.. then i came back home and went online to see what i withdrew, and it was written 60$, just like i asked.. there is no way they can find out now.

  Rat...you are assuming they didn't load the machine with an entire "stack" of $50's.
  
  I highly doubt there was a random $50 floating in a stack of $20's given the counting and sorting technology of today. But maybe. More likely is that alot of folks got more $$ than they planned on, and the bank will retrace the debit/credit imbalance and figure it out in the next day or two.

  the kids were sleeping, and one brother came up to me "is there a microphone on thats picking up some loud noise"?..

  i said "all mikes are off except for the stage".

  he said "there's gotta be something because the noise is annoying!".

  Come on....like there is really any "spiritual food" being shared. The meetings have always been boring. You could miss a years worth and not miss any new spiritual food.

  Struggling in a relationship with a JW

  i have a boyfriend of four years who is a jehovah's witness.

  i had no idea what it was when i met him.

  his parents recently got divorced and he is living with his mom who is jehovah.

  Sorry JH....trust me banks have so many checks and balances it's mind boggling. If you've thought of a way to cheat the bank, they've thought of a way to counter it. Something this low level will be figured out.
  
  Just make sure to keep enough money in your account so if they debit the account you don't go negative by accident and start bouncing checks.
